American Express is looking for a Business Analyst to join its Strategic Operations & Business Analytics (SOBA) team supporting the Merchant Services U.S. Client Management organization. The role is highly analytical and strategic, requiring candidates to work closely with stakeholders, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams to improve business performance, identify growth opportunities, and support operational excellence.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights that help drive business growth and decision-making.

Key responsibilities :

  • Analyzing business data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
  • Transforming data into meaningful business recommendations.
  • Performing recurring and ad-hoc analyses for leadership teams.
  • Supporting strategic projects and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency.
  • Leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity.
  • Collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Presenting insights and business recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Supporting governance, reporting, and business operations initiatives.

Key Technical Skills:

Power BI, Power Apps, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Ability to convert data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
  • Strong financial acumen and business understanding.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn and utilize reporting systems and CRM platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Tableau is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.

Work Schedule:

  • Shift Timing: 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM
  • Job Shift: Night Shift
